Happy, healthy Nursery students

The Mustard Seed Academy was established by Tree of Life Ministries (TOLM) with support from Real Partners Uganda, an American charity organization, in October 2008.  The mission of the school  is to provide education and comprehensive care, especially to the poor and vulnerable children ages 3 and older of Lukaya, that prepare them to become life-long learners, servants of the Lord, and the bright future of Uganda.

Our Vision: We envision Mustard Seed Academy as a model school and part of a self-sustaining learning community that reflects God's love for his children.  We envision Mustard Seed Academy as a school where students' lives and learning are rooted in the richness of knowing that God loves them, understands them and they belong to God.The school motto is: "We can move mountains!"

Many of the 600 children at Mustard Seed Academy are sponsored by compassionate Americans.  All children get two uniforms--one for sports and one for dress.  School meals include greater variety than most Ugandan schools, thanks in part to the agricultural projects that Tree of Life Ministries operates in support of the school.

"Having dropped in ... at Mustard Seed sometimes, ive really been impressed and realized what good work you're doing. the school is so much better organized, the kids brighter, the classrooms nicer, the teachers more satisfied, than any other school i've been to in Uganda. i'm especially impressed with the poultry program"
